This staff was cursed long ago by a user of Dead Revival Magic. Using it allows you to revive the dead and bestow them with part of your soul.

–Item Description

The Dead Revival Staff an Exotic rarity weapon obtained very rarely from The Great Pyramid dungeon.

As the name suggests, it is capable of "reviving people from the dead" to fight for you. When spawned, the "revived" mobs attack every other player, even players lower than level 60. They do not attack the summoner or the summoner's party members, but they can still be hurt by the undead mobs by standing in the crossfire of attacks.

Some undead mobs that are summoned are able to use Magic that is the same as the summoner's first mind magic, and sometimes a weapon that is not always the same as the summoner. The mob type varies between Arcane Government soldiers and pirates.

The staff clings on the players back when unequipped, similar to the Ancient Magic Staff. It releases purple sparks from the head of the staff.

Change Mode Changes the mode of the NPC's, of which there are three:
  • [Attack] will cause the mobs to relentlessly attack any player in range.
  • [Guard] will cause the mobs to attack the player that recently attacked the staff's user. Unlike [Attack], the summoned mob(s) return to the user after a certain distance away from him.
  • [Passive] causes the summoned mobs to stay in place. They may still attack a player that attacks them, though this is rare.
[R} N/A N/A N/A
Move NPC's to mouse Self explanatory. Forces movement of NPC's to current mouse location, after which they will return to their usual mode. [E] N/A N/A N/A
Summon Spawns undead mobs to fight for the user. Tapping [Q] will summon undead NPCs that are the user's level, while holding it down long enough will summon one undead NPC that is twice the user's level. It has a 30 second cooldown before the ability can be used again. It drains 40% of the user's Magic Energy, and consume 25% of the user's health. This does not change when charging. [Q] Level 250+/ Magic Level 350+ Damage Calculations are based upon spawned mob's hits on other players, as well as the user's level. Dead Revival Q

Tips[]

  • Undead mobs can drop Lamina when defeated (usually in low amounts) and experience as well. Defeating an undead mob also lowers reputation no matter what undead mob it is whether an A.G. Soldier or a Pirate. Whenever an A.G. Player kills them, they lose AGR (not sure whether it's a bug or not).
  • The undead mobs despawn after a certain amount of time.
  • Undead mobs are able to clash with a player, albeit difficult to win against.
  • The NPC's summoned cannot attack other NPC's.

Trivia[]

  • Despite Theos, The War Phoenix claiming the undead to be unkillable, the undead NPCs summoned by the Dead Revival Staff are able to be defeated.
  • While undead mobs won't attack the summoner's party members, the summoner's party members can still hurt the undead mobs.
  • The Dead Revival Staff has two thumbnails, one being for the inventory, and the other for the player's hotbar.
  • The undead mobs summoned have a purple flame highlighted in their torso, similar to how Morock's Blessing is highlighted on the player. That is their only difference in appearance to an ordinary Pirate or A.G Soldier.
  • The Dead Revival Staff is the first non-misc. weapon to not attack players directly.
  • The Dead Revival Staff adds 3,700 power level.
  • The undead mobs have a similar ai to npcs on a ship causing them to say "I'm hit" when they are on a cannon and teleporting when they fall into the sea onto the boat.
  • The NPCs summoned by the Dead Revival Staff despawn after ~3min 45 sec.
